Typographic Self-Portrait
This project required that I take all the letters from my first and last name and use them to make a self-portrait. I did not want to simply outline everything since that would be too easy of a solution and would not be as effective. Therefore, I foucused on breaking up my face into sections and altering the scale and angle of the letters in order to get variety and a sense of value. The overall density and layering of the letters in some areas really makes that value come to the forefront of the piece. The final result has depth and represents a good likeness.
